The 19th Annual Dachshund Parade could not be held in Rochester in the year 2020, but we have high hopes for 2021. As the Covid-19 pandemic is still in full force, we do not expect to stage our event in late spring as we have in years past. Instead, we are hoping for circumstances to improve and looking to the fall of the year. With luck, we may be able to gather to celebrate our favorite breed before we see snow fall. Perhaps we'll all be together to celebrate Halloween with our Halloweenies!
All of this depends on our good friends at the City of Rochester being able to safely re-open Washington Square Park for our use, and for all of us to feel safe sharing that space with hundreds of dachshunds and their happy owners. Stay tuned, and we'll let you know when as soon as we can.

Mission Statement
The Dachshund Parade Committee is a group of dachshund owners in the Rochester area who are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership. While the primary function is to stage an annual world-class gathering of dachshunds and their owners in downtown Rochester, members are encouraged to work year-round to:
>> Provide education to dachshund owners about health issues.
>> Give financial support to community organizations dedicated to relief of animal suffering.
>> Celebrate the joy of the breed.
