Wonder(ful) Wieners
Weren't you just wondering, "Will this winter never end?" Think Spring!
Picture yourself in Washington Square Park surrounded by Wonder(ful) Wieners! We know our dachshunds on parade have super powers to chase away those winter blues.
The 24th Annual Rochester Dachshund Parade in Washington Square Park, 181 S. Clinton Ave., Rochester, NY 14607 (across from GEVA theater) begins on Saturday, May 9 at 10 AM and ends at Noon. There will be songs and oompah music, a fashion show, dog and people treats, networking for dachshunds (sniffing, exploring, etc.) and their humans, followed by the parade at approximately 11:30 AM.
This year we have official parade long- and short-sleeved tee-shirts in heather clay. We accept both credit cards and cash for all parade merchandise, with a portion of the proceeds going to support Rochester Hope for Pets, the Verona Street Animal Society and Rochester Emergency Veterinary Services. There will also be a variety of vendors offering a full array of dachshund-themed items. The “official” parade hot dog provider, Dave’s Sidewalk Café, will return, and our sound will be managed by Ultimate Entertainment. This year there will also be representatives on hand from all our supported charities.
